What is a Portrait Party?

There are home parties for candles, jewelry, and baking supplies – now is your chance to host a home party that is truly unique! Portrait Parties are a fun way to have beautiful professional images of your children, family and friends in an affordable way.

The event takes place at your home, where the children are comfortable and natural. The host invites between 5 and 12 families to the party for their own 15 minute mini portrait session and for their hard work, enjoys a complimentary portrait package and an opportunity to earn portrait rewards. It is a low stress, no pressure and really fun opportunity to have beautiful portraits made, while catching up with friends.

There Are NO SESSION FEES  And  NO SELLING  Will Occur At The Party!

How Does it Work?

As the host or hostess of a home portrait party, you invite friends and family members to your home for a FREE photo session. Hosts provide the location, coordinates the hors’doeuvres, the guest list and scheduling the 15 minute session times. Our mobile studio comes to your home, business, or community clubhouse for the event. Your guests are welcome to bring their families, pets, props, etc. – anything or anyone whom they would like to be included in their portraits. No sales are made at the party. All images are posted online for guests, friends and family to view one week later. Orders are placed online with our secure checkout and are shipped directly to the client. In return, the host will receive one 8×10 and 2-5×7 portraits absolutely free! You can also earn portrait rewards, depending on the amount of sales during your party.

If I Host a Portrait Party, What Are My Responsibilities?

The Party Host is the key ingredient to a successful party. As the party host, you will be required to invite and reserve sessions for a minimum of 5 guests/families to participate in the event. You’ll coordinate refreshments and the scheduling of sessions. Sessions are required to be scheduled consecutively. Successful hosts follow up with their guests with reminders and to ensure that every session block is filled to get the most portrait credits possible. Three days before your party, you’ll email me a list of your scheduled appointments.  In terms of space, we will need enough room to set up our mini studio in a private area to avoid distractions. Backdrops and lights are occasionally necessary so a living or family room is preferred. Weather permitting an outdoor setting is ideal for portraits.

Benefits of Being a Hostess

The primary benefit of hosting a party aside from having a lot of fun is to build portrait credits toward FREE PORTRAITS of your family. As host you will receive more pose options to choose from and a complimentary package of  one 8×10 and two 5×7’s. In addition, you will receive portrait rewards based on the amount of sales resulting from your party. You can earn additional rewards if your guests decide to book a full portrait session or portrait party of their own. These special awards change often!

What are the Charges for my Party Guests?

 
Absolutely Nothing! None, Nada,  Nope… not here…. you got it, there is no cost to attend a party. There are no session fees, and no selling will occur at the party. You can leave your wallet at home! You will view and order your portraits online.

I’m Attending my First Portrait Party, What Do I need To Know?

 
As a guest at a portrait party you get to have the most fun! Your host will schedule your 15 minute mini session and provide you with a party information packet. This will let you know what color backdrop or theme is planned for the party so you can dress appropriately. It will also contain a portrait party guest form, pricing and policy information.
